Agilent Hi-Plex Ca uses a positively charged calcium counter-ion to provide selectivity differences through its ability to interact with the hydroxyl group. Hi-Plex columns typically use isocratic conditions with water as the eluent and temperature as the main variable for resolution control. Applications are alcohols, dairy products, fruit juice, confectionary products, anomer separations, adulteration of food and beverage.
