InertSep C2-NE is a silica-based sorbent modified with C2 (ethyl) functional
groups being utilized for a weaker non-polar interaction than C8. InertSep C2-NE
is used for isolates that are strongly retained too much on C8. As end-capping
is not accomplished on this sorbent, a more important role in the separation can
be expected from cation exchange interaction with remaining silanols on silica
substrate. It is suitable for the selective extraction of a range of polar compounds.
