Microsorb C4 300Å Series
Agilent Microsorb C4 is a butylsilane-covered silica bonded to maximize coverage using monofunctional bonding agents, and then carefully end-capped with
trimethylsilyl groups to minimize nonspecific binding. The shorter bonded chains of the Microsorb C4 coupled with the larger 300 Å pore size makes this phase an ideal selection for the reversed phase separation of relatively hydrophobic peptides and proteins that are too tightly retained on C8 and C18 materials. This phase is also useful for the separation of
larger proteins.
