BCX-HL is a strong cation exchange sorbent with an organic loading of 15.0%. This silica-based sorbent is functionalized with a benzenesulfonic acid functional group. Ion-exchange occurs by substitution of the hydrogen ion on the sulfonic acid moiety with a charged metal ion species.
