ZirChrom ProTain (Protein Removal)

The HPLC analysis of small molecules in matrices containing proteins of variable origin is often problematic because of poor resolution between the analyte of interest and the matrix constituents and potential fouling of the analytical column by matrix proteins and debris.

ZirChrom ProTain is an in-line protein removal system that does not require extra handling of samples prior to analysis. ProTain uses a polymer coated zirconia material to effectively serve as a protein sponge, while allowing small molecules of interest to pass through to the analytical column. ProTain can be used in-line with any type of silica, polymer, or zirconia-based analytical column.
